Breast Augmentation Surgery

The desire to have larger breasts is common among women. Breast augmentation is a type of plastic surgery that is performed in order to enlarge the breasts. Breast augmentation involves the insertion of implants. Most women who seek out breast enhancement do so because they feel that they are not as physically appealing to the opposite sex as they would like to be. Many feel that their self confidence level would be much higher if they had breast augmentation surgery done. All women want to feel sexy and desirable and they want to be pleased with the image they see staring back at them from a full length mirror.

Not everyone is a good candidate to have breast augmentation surgery. Let us look at what type of woman would be a good candidate.

First and foremost, a woman considering this type of surgery must be in good health. She must not have any serious health problems such as heart problems, diabetes or cancer. Never risk your health for the sake of vanity. It is important that your body has stopped growing before you start thinking about enlarging your breasts. Most plastic surgeons will not perform this surgery on females younger than 18 years of age.

If you have lost a considerable amount of weight and it has affected both the size and shape of your breasts then breast enhancement might be for you. In the same way, if you have finished having babies and are bothered by what pregnancy has done to your breasts then breast augmentation surgery might be a viable option for you.

If you are simply not happy with your tiny breasts and feel self conscious because of them then breast augmentation is an option that is worth considering. It is not uncommon for women with small breasts to not feel as confident when wearing a swimming suit, a low cut blouse or a tight fitting dress as their larger breasted counterparts do.

Age and gravity when coupled together are not kind to the breasts and cause them to sag as time passes. A woman with this problem would be a good candidate for a breast enhancement procedure.

If your breasts are different sizes and this bothers you tremendously then breast augmentation can remedy this problem. Lack of symmetry can easily be rectified with breast augmentation surgery.
